Yes, it’s been a while since I dived into someone’s closet, but I saved up for a good one! Let me introduce you to Anne Van Assche, one of the sisters behind the blog and pop-up webshop Baroness O. She’s a furniture designer, going nuts for all things conceptual and design, oh and because you can never be satisfied once the design bug bites you, she’s currently learning how to make shoes (where can I place my order)! Got your focus? Follow me into the stylish home of Anne and Lola the cat!

When you step into Anne’s door, you’re in for a treat! She designed this lofty space herself, so ‘picture perfect’ kinda covers the load. As a contrast to her mostly black wardrobe, her home is crispy white and full of light! Her interior is build up out of old furniture she found at her grand parents home, combined with some pieces straight out of the Baroness O. webshop! The eye-catcher for me? The little origami chair she designed herself and sits upon at her make-up table. Perfect combo of past and future!

Lola the cat is keeping her company on a daily basis as is her boyfriend Jasper. Always good to have an artist boyfriend around to brighten up the place with his illustrations! Check out his graphic work here.

When Anne isn’t designing or brainstorming, she loves the soothing effect of baking. It cleans the mind and fulfills the nose and tummy. Old and new do not only meet in her furniture collection, her two best kitchen friends are her Kitchen Aid and an old scale, an artifact found in the butcher shop of her grandparents.

When it comes to fashion, Anne has a dark side. Nothing freaky, but she has a thing for stylish black. And shoes, loads of shoes! Among her most precious items you’ll find designs of Wolf. By Sofie Claes, Swedish Hasbeens and Dries Van Noten. When she choses color, she loves prints and details, like in this bright pink bug-skirt.

Totally into Anne and Baroness O. now? Get my drift? Well then I’ve got some great news for you! Baroness O. is hosting a pop-up store in Antwerp this weekend! Have a glass on Friday or a brunch on Sunday at Viktor and buy your favorite Baroness O. piece! More details here.
